Man arrested for making ‘porn videos’ of Kashmiri girls

SRINAGAR – Police arrested one person in Kashmir on Saturday for allegedly making porn videos of local girls and sharing them over internet.

Maqbool Mir, a driver by profession, was arrested from Shilwat Sumbal area of Bandipora district. The accused was absconding for two months after his ten-minute long porn video, involving a local girl, went viral.

“Taking cognizance of the video, we registered an FIR vide number 169/2015 under section 376 RPC against the accused driver,” said Rashid Akbar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sumbal. “He was evading arrest, however, police managed to nab him on Saturday from his native village.”

The police officer said that the accused may be involved in other scams as well. “The accused is being thoroughly questioned and more arrests are expected in this regard,” he said.

According to locals, the accused used to lure ‘innocent’ girls into making porn videos. They hailed the police action and demanded severe punishment for the accused. “Criminals like Mir are the continuous source of waywardness immoral degradation in the society,” they said.
