SRINAGAR: Without taking on board the Jammu and Kashmir Government, the paramilitary CAPF (Central Armed Protection Force) troops have moved into scores of government school buildings and occupied them fully.

With this, the central government has virtually started a new phase of remilitarization after a long gape of 12 years in Kashmir.

Interestingly, dozens of govt buildings were vacated by then Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led PDP-Congress coalition government in the year 2004 and now under the Mehbooba led PDP-BJP coalition government the paramilitary CAPD have reoccupied the government school buildings barely a day after the Education Minister Nayeem Akhter appealed for reopening of the government schools in valley.

Sources, while disclosing this, revealed that schools occupied by the paramilitary Central Armed Protection Force (CAPF) in Srinagar include SP Higher Secondary School, Srinagar, two schools in Nishat, Girls High School Kralkhud, Kotibagh Higher Secondary School, a school in Pantha Chowk, one school in Mahraj Gunj, one School in Safakadal, one school in Karan Nagar, one school in Lal Bazar, one school in Rainawari, Girls Higher Secondary School Rajbagh, one school in Police Lines School Bemina, one school in Chanapora and one school in Nowgam.
