SRINAGAR: Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar, on Saturday ordered issuance of non-bailable warrant against Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for not obeying a court order in which he was directed to lodge FIR (First Investigation Report) against a senior police officer for allegedly killing a youth in Srinagar.
Pertinently, father of the slain youth from Tengpora Batamaloo, in his petition, claimed that DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) Yasir Qadri killed his innocent son in cold blood in the lawns of his house without any provocation.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (Srinagar), Masarat Shaheen directed DIG (Deputy Inspector General) of Central Kashmir to execute the order. She also rejected the application on behalf of the SSP Srinagar seeking exemption from the personal appearance.
The counsel for petitioner, Advocate Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, said that after rejecting the plea for the exemption of SSP Srinagar from personal appearance, the court asked directed DIG Central Kashmir to come up with compliance report in two days.
