Earthquake shakes Kashmir valley at iftar time

Srinagar: A minor earthquake of magnitude 4.4 shook Kashmir valley Monday evening at 7:27 pm, the time when people had to break their day long fast.

Official sources said that the epicentre of the quake was located near Kishtwar town that happens to be about 89 kilometres from South Kashmir’s Anantnag town. The coordinates of the epicentre are 33.49° N and 76.06° E.

However, no loss of life or property was reported.
