Six people arrested in South Kashmir for selling fake celestial stones

Anantnag (Islamabad): Police on Monday claimed to have arrested six people of two gangs in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district alleging their involvement in cheating innocent people by selling fake celestial stones.

Police said that it registered cases in police station Aishmuqam and Bijbehara in this regard and stated the investigation. Moreover, official sources said that the arrests were made based on ‘specific information’.

“Aishmuqam police registered a case under section 420, 511 against the cheaters”, officials said. They said that another case was registered by Bijbehara police under section 420 RPC against one of the gangs.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Anantnag) issued an advisory asking people not to fall prey to such cheaters and fraudsters who claim to sell stones with magical power. “No such item exists while is having magical power”, he said.
