Srinagar: After a long rainy season in Jammu and Kashmir the weather is now expected to remain dry for at least four days, according to the meteorological department. However, light rain could occur in isolated places.
The weather remained mainly dry on Sunday as well with maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar as 18.0 and 7.1 °C respectively. The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in Jammu was 30.5 and 16.5 °C.
For Monday, the weatherman has predicted similar temperatures in Srinagar and Jammu. However, the minimum temperature might drop by three to four °C less than Sunday.
On the other hand, a house reportedly came down and suffered extensive damages due to incessant rains in Bandipora (North Kashmir). The family members were evacuated and shifted to safer place, police said.
