Kashmir CM expresses grief over killing of six Army soldiers in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his grief over the death of six Army soldiers in Ganderbal district who were killed after one of them opened indiscriminate fire on them.

The Chief Minister described the incident as ‘most unfortunate’. Omar has conveyed his sympathy to the Army and bereaved families. He also prayed for the departed souls.

Pertinently, the incident happened last night in a camp of the 13th battalion of Rashtriya Rifles at Manasbal on Srinagar – Bandipora road. Apart from the death of six Army personnel, two others were injured in the incident.

The injured soldier has been hospitalized in Srinagar. An inquiry has also been ordered to investigate the incident.
