Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered two dead bodies from State’s summer capital Srinagar in mysterious circumstances.
According to an official spokesperson, a male body was recovered from Rainawari locality of downtown City. The body was found near ‘Malkhah’. Police later identified the deceased as Mohammad Abdullah Parimoo, son of Abdul Rehman, resident of Mumkhan Mohalla, Rainawari.
Police said that the cause of his death was initially not known. Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of the code of criminal procedure to ascertain the cause of the death, the spokesperson said.
Another dead body of a male was recovered on Boulevard road that is on the banks of world famous Dal Lake in Srinagar. The person was found dead near a hotel. Police later identified the deceased as Mushtaq Ahmad Hafiz, son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of Nowhatta locality of downtown City.
In this case too, the cause of the death was not known initially. Police have initiated inquest proceedings in this case also to ascertain the cause of the death, the police spokesperson said. He added that the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites after police completed medical and legal formalities.
